We are open 7am-5pm, every day. We close at 3pm on Christmas Eve, and are closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Yes! We have a variety of pastries from local bakeries, breakfast sandwiches, and Mylk labs oatmeal.

Yes! Our Ethiopian Decaf is available as drip or espresso every day.

Most shops do! Currently, Scott’s Addition is the only location without it.

We rotate our featured menu seasonally - you can find the current options at the top of our menu online, or highlighted on our menu in shops! Ask your barista which is their current fave!

Well-behaved dogs are always welcome on our outdoor patios! Because we serve food and beverages, only trained service animals are permitted inside our shops.

We do! Every bag of Grit Coffee is roasted at our roastery in Charlottesville, Virginia.

We currently have 10 locations across Central Virginia.

Our Elliewood Ave shop is where it all started. Originally founded as Para Coffee in 2008, it became the first Grit location before we expanded to additional cafés in 2016 and unified every shop under the Grit Coffee name.

We're always evaluating our menu based on customer feedback and demand. While we don't currently offer soy or coconut milk, we're always happy to hear your suggestions. Feel free to email us or chat with your favorite barista – we'll be sure to pass your feedback along!
