Cumbres del Poas Red Honey Microlot - Costa Rica

Dona Francisca and her husband Oscar Chacon of the Cumbres del Poas micro mill are 3rd generation coffee producers. The Cumbres del Poas micro mill is located in the Sabanillia de Alajuela in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica. Both Francisca and Oscar believe in preservation of the environtment. They were one of the first pioneers of high-quality honey and natural process coffees in Central America back in 2009 when they started experimenting with special processes. Water use at the mill is minimal, since their coffees do not undergo the washed process. During the harvest of their coffees they will measure the brix content in the coffee cherries to determine the best time to pick their coffees to obtain the utmost sweet and fruit forward profile.

Fazenda Irmãs Pereira Microlot - Brazil

Sisters Maria Valéria and Maria Rogéria own the 90-acre farm known as Irmãs Pereira Estate (which means "Pereira Sisters," a fitting name), which they inherited from their parents, who bought the property (then called Fazenda Serrado) in the 1970s. Maria Valéria and Maria Rogéria helped on the farm from the time they were both very young, and when they both got married, their husbands joined them in taking on the farm management. They process coffee many different ways including Naturals and even Honey process. All of their coffee is dried on raised beds or on patios.

Alfonzo Cordova Microlot - Peru

Edgar Alfonzo Cordova Saldaña owns a 2-hectare farm called La Montaña, where he lovingly grows Caturra variety coffee under a cover of shade trees. The result is a coffee with more complexity. In the cup, the coffee is sweet with flavors of strawberry candy, balanced with a nuttiness reminiscent of cashew.

This coffee was grown by Marco Angelo Scalco along with his wife, Ana, and brother, Paulo. Because their farm is relatively small, their attention and care yields a very high quality coffee. This coffee is rich and creamy with notes of white chocolate, vanilla, and cashew.

This coffee comes to us from the Tega & Tula Specialty Coffee Farm in the district of Gibo in Kaffa, Ethiopia. Specifically this crop was grown in a 12.46 hectare subplot that is used for evaluating and determining farming best practices. All this care yields a coffee that has light notes of caramel and balancing acidity reminiscent of orange.
